About
Hi! My name's Francesca and I'm a Cambridge-based computer programmer, focusing mainly on scientific programming and data analysis. Python is the main language I work in, although I also have experience with Matlab, Fortran (including legacy FORTRAN 77) and R. I'm also very familiar with shell script.

Data Analysis and Visualisation
All standard forms of data analysis and visualisation, including hypothesis tests, derivation of common statistics, least squares regression and various forms of plots and graphs.
Web Development
Web development is not the main focus of my work, but I may be able to take on a website project depending on my availability.
All websites I build are yours to keep, including the source code. I believe clients should be able to make changes without having to rely on a developer. I’ll always show you how to edit the content yourself.

Free Technical Help for UK Charities
I set aside a few hours each week to provide pro-bono technical help to UK registered charities. This can include website bug fixes, advice, simple scripts, small software tools, or data/statistical analysis.
If you represent a UK charity and need technical support, feel free to get in touch.
Please note that I can only respond to requests from UK registered charities. I don't discriminate based on an organisation's focus or views. The only reasons I might turn down a request are lack of availability or if the task falls outside my skill set.

When I tell people I'm a programmer, a surprisingly large proportion say that they'd love to learn coding and ask how to get started. On this page, I've collected a number of resources on how to learn.
I intend to add to this, including some resources I've written, when time permits.
